, 1.1 INTRODUCTION
Cameron (2018) reports a business organisation provides a legal framework that describes
organisations structure, profit separation and liability risk. The purpose of this study is to
create a business report on different types and size of food and beverage organisations in Sri
Lanka and the competition of these organisations in market. Forwardly, the various types of
organisations will be described by the size and scope of each organisation and its legal
structure. Moving on, the comparison of structure, size, scope and stakeholders of PRIMA
CEYLON, BAIRAHA FARMS, LIONS BREWERY CEYLON and KELANI VALLEY
CANNERIES (KVC) will be examined. Then how the similarities and different types of
structures and functions link with objectives of these organisations will be discussed. Finally
the functions that organisations interrelate with each other and detailed explanation about
organisational functions will be discussed.



1.1.1 OVERVIEW OF ORGANISATION
 PRIMA CEYLON PVT LTD-Prima Ceylon is a flagship company in prima group.
As the first company to be established in Sri Lanka, it focuses on Prima’s basic business:
milling the wheat flour, on which most of its other businesses are based. Prima flour,
Prima chicken, Prima noodles are some main products the company gives to the market.
The organisation hopes to provide through its ever-dependable promise of “Quality
service and Partnership”.
