In this assignment I will explain how organisation obtains the
cooperation of their employee. I will use Newvic as an example to
cover the contracts of employment and employees involvement
techniques.

Employee and Employer relationship

This is a relationship when the employer employees a new
employee, and this is not just bringing someone to work, this is a
relationship. Because employers and employees work very closely,
it takes time but a relationship is developed that helps them to
understand each other. This is very important to the staff and the
person it self as the success of a business is measured through its
employees so If the internal communication amongst its employees
is good than the business is on the right path for success. A good
relationship can also result in increased productivity of the business
and a good working environment that is the key to success.

Contract of employment is a legal document, which is agreed
between the employer and the employee. Employees at Newvic are
given a contract of employment that includes a statement of main
terms and conditions of employment; and this must be provided to
the employees within the 2 months of the start date at least. These
are:

 Duties
 Responsibilities
 Hours of work
 Lateness
 Salary
 Disciplinary procedures
 Grievance procedure and dismissal.

Employee and Employer Rights

The responsibilities of employer and employees are shared with
each other and their rights must be upheld by the organisation. The
rights and responsibilities include Health and Safety issues, Terms
and Conditions of the Employment, Opportunities to succeed and
the right to be paid their minimum wage. Health and Safety issues
include a safe and healthy environment in which employees can
work safely and securely. The employees themselves as to clean up
their mess and any other mess that can be a hazard to them or
anyone else should endorse the rest of the condition. The business
should provide them with safe machineries as well with the right
equipment to be used with. Employers should also make sure that
the machineries are up to date and regular tests should be done on
the machinery to ensure that the machinery is still in good condition
