British Airways has many different aims as it is a large business meaning it will be aiming to
reduce things such as pollution. As they are a large business, they’ll want to ensure that they
keep a good public image of themselves by reducing things such as noise pollution that are
made by the planes. They will do this by trying to schedule flights during the day as to
reduce the issues associated with it. They are also wanting to ensure steady and reliable
transportation around the world by ensuring that they notify their passengers of any issues
with flight timings or listening to any complains made by the passengers about things such
as service hours on the plane which would then be changed around by the airline. Things
like safety are also taken into account by the airline as they want to ensure that their
passengers feel safe by providing sealed packs of anti-bacterial wipes and hand sanitizer.
To provide products and services-
They are an airline that also works towards providing package holidays that can be booked
through them via their website. They will sell packages for different parts of the world
depending on the time of year and the amount of passengers that are going there at a time

services such as package holidays which will also be changed around to include less or more
as to make more of a profit. The airline will also follow pollution emissions rules made the
the stakeholder which is the government which helps to keep their public image popular
and well liked by ensuring that the airline keeps their c02 emissions as low as they can.
To be environmentally and ethically responsible –
The airline does as much as possible in terms of keeping down pollution as they can. They
do this by reducing their waste per flight which has caused them to reduce waste for short-
haul flights by 50% per passenger and 5% for long-haul flights, they did this by re-using non-
catering items such as face cloths which would be washed after each flight. They have more
waste being used on long-haul flights as they have to ensure that their passengers are happy
meaning that they will require more food items and will need blankets and pillows which
will be provided to them in plastic slips as to reduce bacteria. This is something that is
normally required on a long haul flight and cannot be removed being the reason why they

have struggled. As well as reducing waste on board, they have also managed to improve
their fuel efficiency by 28% which has allowed them to cut 60 million tonnes of c02
emissions since 1990, they did this by updating their aircraft fleet and now fly 787s, 777 and
747.
To contribute to international and UK economies-
The airline flies to around 183 destinations around the world which has helped to increase
their contribute to the UKs GPD by £10 billion per year. They have managed to bring £600
million to the Scottish economy per year as well. This has all been achieved by them ranking
as 23rd best airline that operates globally which has allowed them to bring more tourists to
and around the UK. For example, they have managed to transport 4 million passengers
around the UK alone per year. Being a big airline has allowed them to provide jobs to the
public such as the people in the UK. They had provided 42,000 jobs to the people in UK
which allowed them to contribute to the economy even more as this allowed them to
provide newer flights routes to places like Saudi Arabia which would get a new flight route
to London terminal. This indicating that they help to provide a bigger variety of flight routes.

an idea of the past. They aim to give an experience to the public and the overseas tourists
about the past of Britain and allow them to have a hands-on experience. The business wants
to ensure that their customers are getting the full experience of the past and aim to include
as many historical values as they can which include the facts for certain items or the area.
Another aim of theirs is to ensure that their customers are happy with their experience and
that they where able to learn about what really happened at those historical artefacts. They
