Describe how selected organisations use internet marketing – P2
Introduction
Within this document I will be I will be talking about how Tesco do online
marketing and how they utilise the internet to share their special, limited only
promotions. The other organisation that I will be using it EE, because they use
internet marketing a lot and advertise a lot of phones for people to buy.
Tesco
Tesco is a global business, Tesco is from England. Tesco is an organization where
people buy products, the more important product is the food. Their food is fresh
and also they have services like home insurance, family insurance, ETC. Tesco
use their marketing online to promote different things. On the Tesco website I
can see that they use the internet to promote food, home furniture, clothing, club
card, Tesco bank and phones.
When there are special dates, Tesco try to grab the attention from the customers
by doing something for the key dates of the years i.e. Easter, black Friday and
Christmas. Saying this, Christmas is coming up so Tesco are preparing great
deals on many products so that their customers can save a lot of money and so
that Tesco can also sell a lot of items to make more profit in which they need to
do at the moment due to the low amount of profit gain they have been making in
the last couple of years due to various scandals involving their products. In
evaluation to this paragraph, special dates are good days for organisations like
Tesco because lot of people buy their products due to them having to buy gifts
for close family relatives
I also found in the Tesco website, they use the internet to communicate with
customers showing them about Tesco, prices, products and services. This is a
great way to communicate with customers because customers to do not have to
come to the store in order to see the latest deals, they can just go on the
internet which only takes a couple of minutes. The internet is very handy for the
customers of Tesco because they can also buy Tesco products online instead of
travelling far just to get the product that they want. This method of getting items
fast can be useful for busy people that have important meetings or places to be
and are not able to go to the actual store to get the item that they need.
Tesco club card gives points to customers who own the card when they buy
products from Tesco so that they can use their points to save money on their
next shop at Tesco. This is good from Tesco’s because can target customers
depending on what they buy so they can make special deals on products that are
brought the most buy the particular customers
Tesco use the internet to show people offers that they have. For example
sometimes the products are cheap and they catch people’s eyes due the low
prices of the products and the popularity of the product. On days like black
Friday, Tesco do a lot of great deals for their everybody looking for a good deal
just before Christmas.
Tesco also promote free delivery for their customers who buy their products
online so that they don’t have to pay extra which makes every customer happy.
People can also order food online form Tesco so they don’t have to go to the
