Primary non rechargeable cells can be made of zinc-carbon which are standard cells but have short
life, so they needs to be replaced or alkaline cells which have a longer life.
Secondary rechargeable cells are made of lithium ion which are made from simple lithium, but the

Secondary rechargeable cells can also be made of lead-acid which
are often used as batteries for cars because it turns a lower input voltage to a higher output voltage.
Advantages of primary cells include that they are cheaper to buy compared to secondary cells which
are more expensive. Also has a higher voltage where the secondary cells only has the voltage that
stays constant. However, a disadvantage of primary cells is that it is economical to use because it
requires lots of energy to put in compared to what energy is given out, secondary cells are
nonstandard and so they are non-transferrable.

Lithium primary cells have a longer life, so they last for a longer period of time than secondary
alkaline cells that has a small capacity or larger capacity. This is because the Li primary cells provide a
voltage that it is more consistent which alkaline cells cannot do.
