In this assignment I’ll be describing how the monetary environment affects
businesses that operate internationally. The chosen business that I’ll be doing is
McDonald’s.
McDonald’s establish a presence in every corner of the world by their branding
and history about their business. McDonald’s founded at April 15, 1955. They’ve
been operating for more than 55 years and this led McDonald’s into becoming
the popularised and well known business around the world. McDonald’s presence
is known by majority of the global population. McDonald’s serves more than 1
million customers on the daily basis. McDonald’s branding system is very strong
and detailed, this leads McDonald’s to become recognized and popularised
wherever they present themselves as businesses. This is due to the fact of the
McDonald’s brand which displays the big M in the yellow colour. Also the
strapline “I’m lovin’ it”. This has led to a strong brand because it's known by
everyone across the globe due to its service of food and expansion in more than
120 countries. People recognize McDonald's by the golden arches, and with the
big yellow "M". The McDonald's M indicates that this company is McDonald's.
The McDonald's brand influences buyers in numerous ways to come and enjoy
food. One example is little kids who are aged 5-10 year olds recognize
McDonald's by the big yellow M, and they always go there for a Happy meal, and
this influences not just the kids, but the parents to also buy too. If you go to
every corner of the world, you will see McDonald’s presence.
McDonald’s promotes and market its products and services and various different
ways. One of the ways McDonald’s market their products and services by using
the power of technology which billions of people use on the daily basis;
Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. McDonald’s operates in every corner of the
world, with 6.2 million followers on Facebook, 1.2million followers on Instagram
and Twitter. The use of social media is to advertise is an efficient way to bring in
customers and allow them to know what McDonald’s offers and what special
deals. This is an efficient way for McDonald’s to promote what products and
services they’re selling and which products they’re promoting and this could be
any new establish products or services in the menu. Another way which
McDonald’s market their products are by using advertisement and this can be
through billboards, YouTube and TV shows. Now days we do see loads of billboard
of McDonald’s special deals on the menu and this attracts customers to come. In
addition McDonald’s are releasing advertisements of their deals and promotion
videos and this does bring in people to purchase the meals.

supporting its aim to "enhance the competitiveness of companies in Britain
through overseas trade and investments; and attract a continuing high level of
quality foreign direct investment”. Furthermore UK Trade and Investment works
with UK based businesses to ensure their success in international markets
