Introduction
I will be creating a report that will explain the benefits to customers of a business
using internet marketing.
Comparing and selecting benefits
Customers are able to view what products are available all in an easy format.
They can compare prices easily from website to website, from the comfort of
their homes, instead of visiting a number of retail outlets. It allows seeing which
product is cheaper. Also customers are able to open different window tabs to
compare prices or features of the product/service they wish to purchase giving
the customer value for their money. Furthermore it allows price transparency for
customers.
Comprehensive and up to date product:
Although customers can not touch, smell taste or see any sample products the
website provides total product information. There is visual images available, and
in some cases a 3D video to view the product even better. The product
information includes the price and the features of the product and colour options
if relevant and maybe promotional deals if the products on sale. Providing clear
and consistent product information to all users, this allows less chance of
misinterpretation/ mishearing of the sales person in a store.
Dynamic pricing:
Customers are able to shop online which saves them time from having to go to
the store, the facility of the web enables the businesses to adjust prices quickly
for example: airline tickets, vouchers, the price depends on the time when the
service is provided or the commodity is delivered.
Responsive transactions:
Responsive transactions offers the chance for customers to conduct transactions
straight away for example if you was to pay your phone bill, they would text you
or give you a confirmation email saying that you have paid it and it’s been
successful. This would also be a receipt/reference number for proof to show that
you have paid it and if there are not any difficulties. Once ordered you are able
to have free next day delivery as shown below.
Customer service:
Customers are able to find help online via the chat on the website; this offers the
opportunity for customers to ask any specific questions. Customers are also able
to look at the reviews of a product before they buy it. They are able to see and
read the opinions of other customers. On the website there could also be a FAQ’s
section where it provides the most asked questions and answers to help you. If
customers are not completely happy about a product they are able to complain
through the chat rooms or the discussion forum.
If you are not happy with the product you’ve brought you are able to cancel it
easily. You have a maximum of 28 days or in some businesses 14 days. This has
advantages to it
