In this task i will analyse the marketing opportunities and challenges faced
by Asos when using internet marketing.

Internet marketing has been increasing throughout many years. Asos have
created a website that sends out a message to customers that they are
able to buy products online with a suitable price on them.

Asos have been gaining many opportunities to execute their business. For
instance, they have started to trade online. This increases Asos’s profit
income in the business but also attracts a new target audience. As a
result, they use make use of all opportunities to execute their business.
The benefits of having products placed on Asos are to advertise what they
have in stock. They have a range of sizes and colours available for
customers, so they are able to choose from a wide range of products that
meets their needs. One benefit for a business that internet marketing has
on product is customisation. Customisation is where a product can be
personalised to meet customers’ needs at good prices. This means that
customers can have exactly what they want. Production can give a
business opportunity, such as increasing customers. As if products are
being personalized for them and there is more choice, they are likely to
return to the business to purchase other products. This will therefore
increase sales in the business.

Asos use a technique called recommendation to customers. This means
whenever a customer buys a certain product, then Asos tries to
recommend different products for them to buy since they are similar. In
addition to this, Asos allows their customers to pay in different currencies.
This is benefit as different parts of the world are able to purchase goods
online with their currency.

Asos is known for their delivery. This is because whenever a customer
orders from their website they send them an email confirming their
package being sent. This will increase customers and also it will build
Asos’s reputation. In addition to this, this will also gain the customers trust
within the business and increase more customers in the business leading
to Asos’s profit income rising significantly. Every customer wants to know
that they are sure that their product will arrive at the date given on the
website. However, the challenge that Asos can face is that their deliveries
may not come on time due to a small error. If this occurs to a customer
then they will not be happy and complain back to the business giving a
