In this assignment I will be describing the political, legal and social factors that
have an impact on the business Tesco and their stakeholders. I will then analyse
how political, legal and social factors have impacted the businesses. Then finally I
will evaluate how future changes in economic, political, legal and social factors
impact on the strategy of Tesco. Political is of or relating to the government or
public affairs of a country. Legal is relating to the law and permitted by the law.
Social factors are things that affect lifestyle, such as religion, family or wealth.
I have chosen Tesco as my case study. Tesco in the UK. The company is a clicks
and bricks retailer based in England with over 3300 stores. But also serves in 12
other countries, including China, the business has over 530,000 workers and
serving tens of millions of customers every week. The well-known retailer was
found in 1919 and this since developed to be one of the leading retail businesses
in the world.
