In this assignment, I will explain the benefits of modifications and assistance offered to Rebecca
Brown and Ben Grace, both of whom have special needs. When modifications and assistance are
made available to an individual with special needs, they get a sense of independence and their
quality of life improves. Special communication and assistive technology are essential for persons
with special needs to carry out everyday duties and feel included in society. An adaption is a
modification made to your house to make it more accessible and safer for individuals with
disabilities. Those who have home adaptations will find it safer and simpler to move about and do
daily duties. Local councillors provide a service in which they examine the residence and provide
recommendations for improvements. It might be difficult to provide adjustments depending on
where the individual is staying/living, whether the residence is large or little. For example, if you live
in a tiny house, it would be difficult to install a bannister on the stairs. However, if the individual is
experiencing difficulties with their mobility, creating a walk-in shower or adding a set of grab bars to
aid with getting in and out of the bath. Special equipment and communication aids are essential for
persons with special needs to do everyday chores, live independently, and feel more integrated in
