ODEON
ODEON is the one’s best cinema that is present in UK,
it was organised in 1930 and from that time it is
famous because the Leicester Cinema hosted more
than 700 of the biggest European premiers and for
this, it is the largest and the best cinema of Ireland and
UK. ODEON cinema has been developed extremely and
won every single customer heart they made them
come back and visit more often.
Odeon has a range of job roles such as:
Regional Operations Manager - this has job roles such as to supervise all other employers such
as retail, coffee shop and other places that are present there. Review and monitor the policy of
Odeon, uniforms, and hygiene. Financial and accountant need to fully operate and controlled,
it has maintained everything, review, keep up to date, set all the health and safety procedures
and emergency and everything of the Odeon Cinema.
General Manager – the general manager must look at the reviews and continuously feedback
to the staff, highly maintain the standards at all of the time. Look at the safety procedures and
other requirements of the cinema, working in a cinema with many people is important to keep
everything as it should be.
Cinema experience manager – coach the colleagues if they are in any kind of problem, they are
the model for their team, and they try to lead the group in the right direction.
Cinema Host – the cinema host has the key duties to make the cinema welcoming for the
people that are going to come there, they must make sure that the cinema hall is ready for the
next audience after them.
HRM
HRM stands for human resources management, the HR has some departments that look at
different things: recruitment, retention, training, condition of work, worker representative and
health and safety. HR plays an important role and that is because they look at the people that
work very closely and they make sure that they meet their objectives.
Importance of recruitment & selection
Recruitment means the process that are the best people for a chosen job, that they are suitable
and perfect for it, have been qualified and have the skills. However, selection is when the people
get selected that is best for something. It is important for the cinema to select the best people for
the cinema roles. The cinema host must be someone who is perfect for the work where they have
to be fast because a cinema host needs to do everything as fast as possible to ensure that the next
audience will find the best place to seat and look at their chosen movie, but the cinema host has
even other things to do such as to ensure that the guests are feeling better to come to the place
and feel comfortable, make sure that the cinema look sparkling for the audience so that they
know this is a great place for their chosen film, then the cinema host has also to help the audience
