, “The importance of interpersonal and written communication in the field of interest.”

This assignment will focus on the interpersonal and written communication within
Education in the job role of a primary school teacher. This will be followed by the key
term, communication, written communication and interpersonal communication being
explained in detail, as well as benefits of empathy, confidentiality, and active
listening about safeguarding and the different types of communication. As well as
benefits of effective communication and the lack of communication within a school
setting, and what happens when they are not carried out and the importance of
particular concepts.

Human beings are one of a kind that allows them to communicate in more than one
way (words, body language, gestures, and more). They listen to each other and
memorise what the other person says, "Communication allows social and emotional
relationships to flourish, allows the transmission of information and ideas, and
imparts the values and moral codes of society.” Hobart, C. and Frankel, J. (2003,
p180). In the education field, primary aged children might have their preference

Communication is always a two-way process and both individuals need to put effort
into the conversation for it to be effective. Good communication consists of
validating, listening, and understanding children's point of view. Whereas bad
communication contains defensiveness, arguing and being indirect.

Two-way communication involves some sort of response from the sender to the
receiver. This way of communication is often used between a teacher to the student
and to the parent which requires feedback, to be certain that the message was
received and understood. An example of two-way communication would be the
telephone, teachers might need to communicate with parents over the phone which
does not require both the sender or the receiver to be at the same place

"Children's ability to speak and understand book language is a key achievement in
all areas of the school curriculum." Hobart, C. and Frankel, J. (2003, p182). The
curriculum helps to monitor children's progress in spoken and written
communication. Teachers should allow students to engage and participate in
activities which then will allow them to develop their social skills. Primary school
