It should depend on the funder, it’s the same as essays. If you can find a completed model of a
proposal, it helps a lot. Start big issue and then get into the nitty gritty, by getting back to the big
picture. Its like a sales pitch, hook them and then remind them of why they should fund you.
There were other things included that you need to consider when writing a grant.

Organisations include;

 UKRI (united kingdom research institute)
 BBRC (Biological sciences)
 ESRC (social sciences)
 MRC (medical research council)

Look for training centres and charities as well - Welcome Trust.
Scottish executive funds.

You can contact the research office and ask them where you should aim your research funding
proposal.
