Assignment 8A: The Musculoskeletal System

Physiology of the Human Body:

Different bones do different jobs. For example, the bones which help with the upholding and
structure of the body would be the spine, this runs down from the top of the legs to the neck
and hold up the body. Some bones are for protection like the ceranium which protects the
brain from being easily injured which could be potentially fatal. There are even bones in the ear
to help further amplify sounds. There are three bones that do this: the mulleus, incus and
stapes.

, The human skeleton has more functions with the storage and production of minerals and blood
cells. Almost all blood cells, roughly 95% of the body’s blood cells, are produced in the soft
spongy part in the middle of bones called the bone marrow. In an adults body, most bone
marrow is in the pelvis bone, breast bone and the bones of the spine. The bone marrow is vital
in storing and releasing minerals, white and red blood cells.
