The picture above shows all lymph nodes in the body. The lymph nodes are located along the
lymph vessels, similar to arteries, they are all over the body. Lymph nodes are around 2.5cm
and can be described as bean shaped lumps which are surrounded by connective tissue. Inside
lymph nodes, there are different compartments where T lymphocytes, B lymphocytes and
macrophages are found. All these cells are important in the body’s immune system, they are all
types of white blood cells responsible for treating diseases and viruses. Lymph nodes are
responsible for filtering substances which travel through a fluid called lymph.

How the Lymphatic System works:

The whole function of the lymphatic system is to collect waste products around the body, it can
be described as a one-way drainage system. Lymph is a fluid which travels through lymph
