, Project proposal
In this project, there will be an investigation of vitamin C present in lime, lemon, and carrot. The
investigation is carried out using iodometric titration. Furthermore, to find out how much vitamin C
is present in each vegetable we must use the recorded results, which was done by titration of the
juices and iodine ascorbic acid solution by changing the colour of the solution. I will include a plan B
which I can use if my first experiment goes wrong.
Aim
To compare the amount of vitamin C present in lime, lemon, and carrot
Independent variable:
Types of different vegetables juice
Dependent variable:
Volume of the vegetable needed
Percentage of vitamin C in vegetable
Concentration of vitamin C in vegetable
Fixed variable:
Concentration of an iodine solution
Concentration of an ascorbic acid solution
