abolitionists, civil war and and legislation and emancipation war condemned by abraham lincoln as well as well as the
underground railroad .To discuss the abolition of slavery is to understand the definition as well as the practice of slavery
itself.Abolition can be described to be the revolt and disapprovement of an act or practice - in this case slavery .Three
factor that were major influences to the abolition of slavery are the civil war, abolitionist and harriet tubman and the
underground railroad , i will compare these reason and fully explain their impact on emancipation ;after i will way up the
importance and reach justified conclusion .

The American Civil War was a significant event in the history of the United States that was instigated between 1861 to
1865. It was a conflict between the Confederate States of the south , composed of 11 southern states, and the Union,
consisting of the remaining 23 northern states. The war was fought over many issues, with the main cause being the
influenced issues and contrast on the unethical practice of slavery , the southern states from the Union over the issue of
slavery -The southern states believed that the government was attempting to abolish slavery, which would have had a
severe impact on their economy, way of life, and political power. The south found it to be threatening and found the
unethical practice to be naturally in the social hierarchy and way in living , this contrasts the opinions of the northern
states who wanted to preserve the Union and believed that slavery was an ethical dilemma and found it to be unethical
way of living and deemed it to disregard the legislation of free humane right passed to the citizen of america written in
the constitution. . The Civil War resulted in a Union victory, and it played a significant role in the eventual abolition of
slavery. The Emancipation Proclamation, issued in 1863 declared that all slaves in Confederate states were to be set
free. This legislation helped slaves to gain an ounce of freedom and often led to the uprisings on plantation, they often
used the legal right s passed by lincoln helping them to the pathway to emancipation. This marked a turning point in the
war and helped to shift the Union's focus towards ending slavery. The pivoting point of the emancipation act then
created a chain reaction of stronger legislations such as the 13 th amendment which fully abolished slavery as well as
the influence of the 15th amendment also influenced by the war fully mandated to the south the human right enslaved
people have a right too this was further emphasised by the 15th amendment which gave the enslaved a right to vote and
recognised as an american citizen -this communicated to the south the issues of slavery and made them acknowledge
the root issue yes though the jim crow laws still implanted racism it was a crucial point to creating the amendment
granting emancipation and helping path he wy for ful; freedom influenced by abolitionists and activists. . Overall, the
American Civil War was a critical event that ultimately led to the end of slavery in the United States by not only
emphasising the moral issues but creating ground for future legislations

Frederick Douglass was a prominent African - American abolitionist and social activist who played a significant role in
the fight against slavery in the 19th century. Born into slavery in Maryland in 1818, Frederick was able to escape slavery
around 1838 and became a powerful voice in the anti-slavery movement. He was an orator and writer, using his
experiences to shed light on the slavery and advocate for its abolition. One of Douglass's major contributions to the
abolition of slavery was his powerful speeches that spread around the country giving speeches on the evils of slavery
and the importance of freedom and equality for all, this made him a strong advocate for the Union during the Civil War,.
As a public speaker, orator and writer he also was serving as a recruiter for the Union army and encouraging African
Americans to enlist. He believed that the war was an opportunity to end slavery once and for all, and he worked to ensure
that the Union's efforts were focused on emancipation and not only unification .His contribution through speech not only
created a surge of inspiration for many enslaved and hopeless people. After the war, he continued his work in the fight
for civil rights and equality, serving in government positions and advocating for the rights of all people.Overall the
contribution to abolitionists such as frederick douglas helped not only in the physical fight but urged the government
