Executive Summary
My business idea is a frozen yoghurt, fruit shake and detox bar named ‘Frozo’. Frozo is a Private Limited
Company which will be situated on Botanic Avenue in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

I decided on this business idea as I feel there is a gap in the market for this business in this specified area.
Frozen yoghurt, fruit shakes and detoxes have become extremely popular with people of all ages,
particularly the thousands of students who live within a two minute walk of Botanic Avenue.

There is no other business as specific to this in the area and there is definitely a market for this start up.

Some offerings of the business include;
• The sale of frozen yoghurt in many different flavours
• The sale of fruit shakes in a variety of sorts
• The sale of detox packages for all
• A sit-in and take-away service
• A free Wi-Fi, comfortable sit in place for all customers
• Excellent customer service
Some different activities of the business include;
• Budgeting - A budget will be set for the business that dictates how revenue is brought about in
daily operations and in the pursuit of future growth.
• Accounting - Areas that come under the accounting group are accounts payable, accounts
receivable, payroll, customer credit accounts, collections and tax accounting. Accounting reporting
is responsible for annual tax filings, monitoring company costs and maintaining financial
relationships with vendors and customers.
• Marketing - Marketing helps to develop company and brand recognition in the marketplace as well
as develop advertising pieces that the buying public would see
• Sales - Sales is the group that maintains direct contact with the customer base. The sales force is
skilled at matching up company solutions with customer needs to create product demand.
• Hiring Employees - The human resources aspect of an organisation is important to maintaining
current operations as well as planning for future expansion. Staff that are suitable and who offer
excellent customer service will help meet the demands of the customers.
• Customer Service - Customer service maintains corporate revenue by resolving customer issues
and preserving the buying relationship.

1.0 Introduction

This is a business plan for Frozo – a new Private Limited Company which is to be launched on Botanic
Avenue in Belfast, Northern Ireland in 2017.

2.2: Targets and goals for the business (SMART objectives)

Business aims and objectives are critical in the success of setting up a new business, enabling the progress
of Frozo to be measured and monitored. I set an aim of my business which sets out clearly what my
business is trying to achieve and why it is being set up.

The aim of Frozo is “To establish Frozo as the local leading source of healthy energy in the form of fresh
fruit, frozen yoghurt and detoxes with a dedicated commitment to the health of the people of Belfast.”

This aim will be achieved through my business objectives. These objectives are specific to my business, are
measurable, achievable, realistic and time-able. My business objectives include;
• Carrying out market research
• Searching for the perfect location for my business to be located
• Carrying out a relevant marketing campaign
• Setting financial objectives as to when the business will first break even and make a profit. For
example, to break even within the first 2 years
• Planning how customer retention will be achieved
• How cash flow will be maintained
Other objectives have been set;
• To develop a strong brand image
• To have the highest sales of a frozen yoghurt bar in the Belfast area
• To increase sales by 20% within the first six months of launching
• To increase market share by 5% each year for first two years of trading
• To make a profit by the end of year three

2.3: Target market
My target market has quite a significant range due to the extensive product range which Frozo has to offer.
Smoothies and healthy shakes for 12-25 year olds will attract a large segment, detoxes will attract those
into cleansing their bodies and those who are interested in health benefits and frozen yoghurt will attract
almost everyone!
This target market has been chosen because of the opportunities within it; having such a large target
market gives me the ability to go wider with my business’ objectives and gives me the opportunity to
develop new products and services all the time. As seen in appendix 5, the
new Twitter and Facebook pages would allow me to target my market
more specifically and would allow customers to keep up to date with all
the latest news in Frozo.
In order for Frozo to have any chance of success, building up a detailed
profile of the business’ target market requires a great deal of market
research. This involves gathering and analysis data which relate to the
objectives of my business. Different types of market research such as
