Shelf Layout: Throughout ASDAs stores they have a layout where they will put all of their
products into sections based on what it is. An example of that would be that all of the meats
would be categorised together and so would things such as frozen foods. They do this so it
makes their products easy for customers to find so they will be happy shopping in their
stores and it is also beneficial as it means that whilst customers are looking for what they
want they may end up purchasing things along the way that they didn’t come for. An
example of this would be if they went to buy a chicken then they would have had to pass
the other meats and may also end up purchasing some pork or other meat because they
saw it whilst shopping. ASDA would benefit from this layout in their stores as it would mean
that it would be likely that their sales would increase as customers would buy more
products then what they came for.




Price Marking: ASDA ensure that they display the prices for all of the products within their
stores so that it enables their customers to make a decision on if the price is suitable and if
they want to buy it. If a product is on sale or is cheap then ASDA will enlarge the price of the
product to make sure that people will notice it more. This would be beneficial as it means
