Task1: Biological cells
Aim:
To investigate the tissue cell structure and to recognize each of the main
components, also to identify each tissue cells and organelle by labelling the
structure of the tissue cells (using microscope and pre-prepared microscope
slides).
Equipment’s I needed:
Microscope
Pre-prepared microscope slides
Pencil
Eraser
Paper
Method:
1. Place the slide of a tissue cell on the stage of the microscope.
2. Look through the eyepiece of the microscope.
3. If getting a blurred image then change the adjustment by changing the
coarse adjustment.
4. After getting a clear image, draw the image on the paper
5. Repeat the above steps again with two different type of tissue cells.
Task 2 – Inside Cells
Prokaryotes Eukaryotes
Has nucleus which houses the DNA No nucleolus and no membrane
and contains membrane bound bound organelles.
organelles.
Eukaryotic cells are much longer or Prokaryotic cells are about 10 times
complex then prokaryotic. smaller diameter than eukaryotic
cells.
