Impact of minor congestion situations on passengers
There are many minor and major situations that occur within an airport which may have a
smaller or larger impact on passengers. The airport will put in measures so it will impact the
passengers to ensure safe and secure passenger flow.
There are many minor situations that may occur within an airport such as being busy at the
check in desk because it is a busy time of year. This would have a negative impact on
passengers this is because passengers would have difficulty checking in because of the
congestion. This means that passengers may be late to their flight because they took long
checking in because of the congestion. Passengers that are arriving for their flight would find
the check in halls and bag drops crowded which means that they would have to wait for the
passengers who came before them to check in. There would be many flight departures at
the airport so it would become congested because staff will check all the items in the
luggage, screen it and put labels on the bags. This would take time for each passenger who
is going on a flight.
One of the minor situations that may occur at the airport is congestion at security when
there are multiple flight departures. Multiple flight departures means that many passengers
would be at security which means that there would be congestion. This would have a
negative impact on passengers because they would be unable to go through security easily
because security would thoroughly check each passenger which would take time.

experiencing congestion. Checking in is an important of visiting an airport because it means

because of large amount of passengers coming in who are in the need of checking in as soon
as possible. Passengers experiencing the congestion would need to wait longer due to the
congestion however this may cause delays if passengers are not quick enough to check in.
