has on a business
In this report I am going to explain the benefits and opportunities that internet marketing has on a
business. I am going to focus on Superdrug and their marketing mix.

Internet marketing makes it easy for mass customization as customers can get personalized products
and services to suit their needs at a the same or similar price. Superdrug allow customers to make their
own wish lists so the customer can add items to the list and edit it. This list is personal to the customer
as it is fully created by them so it is unlikely that someone else would have an identical wish list.
Customers can also use Superdrug's online doctor feature, as customers can have medications sent
straight to your home that are personal to you. The online doctor gives customers the freedom to look
up their symptoms and get the products that they need as no one else would have the exact same
symptoms as them.

The benefits this has on the customer include a more satisfying experience as customers can save items
in their wish list or favorite items for later and refer to it when they decide they want to purchase some
items, rather than having to manually search website the next time they visit the site or are ready to
purchase. It also saves the customer from forgetting what it is they wanted to buy. The online doctor is
beneficial as they get to privately purchase medications they need and it is personal to them because
they can choose what they need.

Mass customization also creates opportunities for Superdrug as customers are likely to shop with them
online again as they can save items to their wish list or favorites to view at a later date and add to the list
or add their wish list or favorites items to their basket to make a purchase. The wish list and favorites
brings customers back as they can save products to remember for a later day and so that the customer
doesn’t forget what they were going to buy. Customers that use the online doctor are likely to come back
if they are happy with the service. Customers can easily keep track of what medications that have been
taken and for how long by tracking it using the online doctor, as it keeps a record of what the customer
has been prescribed.

This makes Superdrug more efficient as they allow there customers to quickly view the products they
want in their wish list or favorites and the customer doesn’t have to keep entering the same keywords in
the search bar, especially when they want to purchase something they buy regularly from Superdrug as
they can keep it in their wish list or favorites to go back to the product. The online doctor saves time for
the customer as they don't need to take time out of their day to make an appointment and visit
someone to speak as customers can do it themselves. This is efficient for Superdrug because they don't
need to hire as many pharmacists to give out prescriptions and queues will be reduced because some
customers will be ordering the products online.

Mass customization is effective it saves time and money for Superdrug as they don’t need to hire as
many pharmacists in their store as people are using the online doctor to get their medicines. The wish
list and favorites is effective as customers are more likely to come back if they know they are able to save
items for a later date to make a purchase and Superdrug will make more sales as customers are less likely
to forget what they wanted to purchase because it is now in a list for them to refer back to.
