Using one of the reports provided from professional scientific journals or any
of where you can find from professional scientific / technical journal, compare
and contrast these with your own report from task 2.
they should state and explain the similarities and differences between this
report.
In the next image we can see a professional scientific report, which explains how this should
be done properly, including a title, introduction, hypothesis, procedure and materials, data/
observations, resort and finally conclusions, The first thing that I noticed is that my report
and the professional ones are not so different one from the other, this is a good sign,
because it shows how I followed the steps that he gave us in recent lessons while explaining
how to do this type of report professionally, one of the differences that I can noticed is that I
have way more information and data in my records contrasting this one which has only one
page where it explains the equipment, procedure, data and conclusions, this can mean
interesting that is not detailed or that the actual experiment did not require much detail,
compared to my one which I did explain or at least try to explain every single step in detail.
Something that I noticed is that this report that I got did not have a aim or a abstract section,
in contrast to my one where I briefly explained what was the experiment and what I got in
conclusion, Also my data table is
not so detailed like the one from
the professional report, they
added titles to each column
which I did do but they also
added a main title explaining
what the table was about,
Depending on what's the
professional reports was about
because it doesn't explain that
much in the conclusion, like my
one could mean that this report
was about another subject apart
from physics, my report had a
calculations section where I
calculated my data to get the
result that I was looking for, so
this also shows how in scientific
reports data is briefly explained
but in a way that it will be easy to
understand, not like my one
which I had to write maybe more
than needed.
