Within the different services, there will always be a rank structure. This will help maintain the
organisation to stay effective and ensure that orders are given out.

ARMY - Rank Structure




The starting rank within the army is a officer cadet. This rank is below every other one. this
mean they will be responsible for obeying orders given from higher ranks and will be the
individuals completing most of the requires operations in the army.

The second rank is a second lieutenant are the first leaders for the officer cadets. The
second lieutenant has the responsible to lead a team of 30 soldiers in both training and
operations.

The lieutenant comes next in the rank structure. Similar to the second lieutenants, they also
have the responsibility of a 30 man platoon. Although the they have the 30 number of
soldiers in their platoon. The lieutenant is more experiences and will have more
responsibilities when leading their platoon.

Higher up in the rank structure, comes the captain. Captains have an increased number of
120 soldiers in their platoon. The captain are responsible for planning operations and
decision making. They also take responsibility for equipment maintenance or manpower.

Above the captain is the Major. The major is responsibility for sub-units up to 120 officers
along with soldiers. They will be in charge of training them, their welfare and actions on the
camp and patrols.

The Lieutenant Colonel is in charge of a unit up to 650 soldiers along with the four and five
sub-units. They have the responsibility for the overall actions and performance of the military
capability and general discipline.

Colonels are normally not on the field. They are responsible as staff officers on field
commands at battalion level.

After the rank of colonels, the next rank is a Brigadier. The responsible that a brigadier had
is to command a brigade or even leader of operational capability groups. They have high
expects of good leadership and discipline.

The main responsibilities for a major general is to be a commander of divisions. They will
lead a division up to 10,000 to 16,000 soldiers. They will be responsible for leading large
operations. The two star generals will normally serve high level officers with major
