, General Information on Seminars
This LW593 Seminar Workbook contains key information needed for students to be able
to prepare for each of the ten one-hour weekly seminar sessions.
Specifically, for each seminar this workbook contains the following items:
Core reading list: a list of core reading references for each seminar topic that
students are expected to read prior to answering the seminar questions. Each list
typically includes references to relevant EU statutory sources, case law and the
textbook chapter(s). (Occasionally, additional sources may be added).
Seminar discussion questions: a list of questions to be discussed in individual
seminars.
Supplementary questions for self-study: a further list of questions intended to
complement study of the relevant subject area. These particular questions will not
be discussed in seminars.
Suggested further reading lists: a list of suggested further initial reading for each
seminar topic is provided at the end of each list of supplementary self-study
questions. These lists are intended to facilitate student research in and
engagement with particular topic areas (e.g. for assessment purposes).
