Roleplays assess how you communicate with the actor and manage
curveballs that they may throw at you
Main Principles:
Always be honest- never lie in a roleplay (remember your Duty of Candor as
a doctor)
Rapport building- get to know the interviewer in the roleplay that they are
playing
Listen carefully- don’t interrupt them when they are speaking
Types of Roleplay- 3 different types:

This can include for example talking to a demotivated friend, or
exploring someone’s emotions
In these scenarios, try to ask open ended questions, motivational
interviewing
Breaking bad news roleplays
For example, telling your neighbor you ran over their cat, or telling an
employee that they got fired
Breaking bad news is the easy part, you are pretty much just telling
them the news, the hard part is dealing with the backlash that comes
with giving the news
