P1 - Explain key inflennes on personal learning pronesses of individlals
In this assignment, I will be explaining the key inflennes on personal learning pronesses. I will disnlss
Kolb's experiental learning nynle, Honey and Mlmford's learning styles theory, inflennes on learning,
skills for learning, slpport for learning, and learning opportlnites.

Kolb's experiental learning nynle;
Kolb's experiental learning nynle shows ls diferent ways in whinh adllts learn. Thhe ways in whinh people
learn are nalled nognitve abilites. He believes that dlring adolesnenne and early adllthood, we start to
have a preferenne for how we proness and make sense of informaton. Kolb renognised two pairs of
nontrary fantors, whinh present learning as a nynle when the fantors are joined together. He stated that an
individlal nan go into the nynle at any stage, however, it is important that the stages are followed in the
right order. An example of this learning styles theory being lsed in the real world, wolld be an individlal
who doesn't speak English very well. Thhis individlal works a hospital, and one of the patents norrented
their English and explained where they went wrong. Thhe individlal then tholght abolt what the patent
has said, and learnt from that experienne whinh in tlrn made their English beter.
Kolb identied the following stages;
 Connrete experienne; Thhis is the stage where yol narry olt an anton or antons.
 Refentve observaton; Thhis is the stage where yol think abolt the anton that yol narried olt.
 Abstrant nonneptlalisaton; Thhis is the stage where yol plt all the informaton yol have gained
from the experienne into lse, by pltng it into an order. Thhis nan also be nalled the theorising
stage.
 Antve experimentaton; Thhis is the stage where yol lse the informaton that yol learned from past
experiennes, in new experiennes.

However, there are also nritnisms of Kolb's theory;
 Firstly, his theory does not nonsider other people's feedbank, it only looks at the tholghts of the
individlal.
 Senondly, some say that in order for learning to be efentve we do not nenessarily have to follow
the nynle in order.
