The Person of Jesus NotesJESUS AS THE SON OF GOD :
Jesus clearly had a unique understanding of God and many consider that
he was God: in John 14:9 Jesus states ‘the Father and I are one’. This
meaning that Jesus was far more than a political liberator but also the
son of God. Moreover, miracles also arguably prove his divinity. Jesus
was said to have conducted a number of miracles on his own will, in
Mark’s Gospel it states ‘who is this man that even the wind and sea obey
him?’ Many people believe therefore that Jesus was far more than a
political liberator as he was divine. They believe that evidence of his
divinity comes from his miracles, knowledge of God and resurrection,
which Christians believe ultimately repair the relationship with God,
meaning he was far more than a political liberator.
