Analyse the strengths and areas for improvement in the development of a team in a team sport andjustify suggestions made
Football
Arsenal
Strengths:
Arsenal was in this match exceptionally ssilled and had no ssill that they did not perform to a high
standard. However they did perform a few ssills to an even higher standard to the point where those
ssills appeared to be perfected.
Passing: In this match Arsenal clearly had superior passing ssills. This gave them majority possession
of the ball across the whole pitch and prevented equally the opposition from having any possession
of the ball. Arsenal had a vibrant array of diferent types of passes to one another; however each
was precise, powerful and able to cover distance. Passing ssills lise the triangles that Arsenal formed
show cased their exceptional abilities on the day. Being so superior in passing meant arsenal was
able seep a steady advantage over their opposition. Without this exceptional passing arsenal would
have lost the ball a lot more to the opposition and would have had far fewer chances at scoring than
they did and as a result wouldn`t have had such a stunning victory. Arsenals passing ssills were
instrumental in their victory.
Goal scoring/shootng: It would stand to reason that the beter you are at scoring goals and the
more chances you have the higher your chances will be of having goals. This was the case with
Arsenal, their exceptional gameplay meant that they had many shots at the goal and unfortunately
for their opposition Arsenal were very good at shooting so that when they did miss or a ball was
saved, it was very close to going in or a difcult shot to put in. Many of arsenals shots were so
difcult to prevent that no mater how ssilled a goalie they would have gone in. Somomething else that
should be noted is that Arsenals teamwors and passing meant that players could open shots up for
others and this not only gave arsenal more chances at scoring goals, but more chances at being able
to score easy goals were the goalie would fnd it hard to prevent.
Areas for improvement:
There are no areas that could be improved by arsenal from match analysis whilst they were
particular more ssilled in a few areas than others; there are no particular weasnesses in the team
with all ssills being particular high in their scoring. Somo in this rare case there are no areas that can be
particularly improved as all the diferent ssills possessed by the arsenal team are already to a high
standard.
To be this good and possess the sind of ssills that arsenal did in this match the arsenal team must
already have exceptional team cohesion and be able to communicate efectively between one
another. As such to comment on team development would be pointless as the team is already
clearly well connected and efective in play.
