1. Hersenen (bloedingen, trauma, maligniteit)
Indicaties
- Bloedingen, infarcten, trauma, hydrocefalie (blanco).
- Maligniteit of abces (contrast, maar 1e keuze is MRI).
- Schedelbasis letsel (bijv. liquorlekkage).
Techniek
- 64 x 0,6 (64-slice).
- Axiaal/spiraal van Foramen Magnum tot kruin of gericht op schedelbasis.
Beoordelingscriteria
- Tekenen van verhoogde hersendruk, massawerking, bloeding?
- Densiteitsverschillen, lokalisatie, grootte en aantal van de afwijkingen
- Fracturen, botdestructie?
Axiaal
- Betere beeldkwaliteit?
- Lagere lensdosis, maar is lensdosis relevant?
Axiale modus is beter, omdat kwaliteit van afbeelding veel
beter is en minder last van artefacten.
Spiraal
- 3D-correcties mogelijk.
- Vermijden stairstep artefacten.
Spiraal modus kan je achteraf meer mee en artefacten zijn beter te

Wel of geen contrast bij CT hersenen?
Normaal gesproken zijn bloedvaten moeilijk te onderscheiden van het
hersenweefsel.

Doorbloedings-problematiek
- Infarcten (arterieel)
- Trombose (veneus)
- Bloedingen (arterieel en veneus)
Beroerte
- 80% infarct
- 20% bloeding
Iets wits op CT bij de hersenen → vers bloed.
Bij infarct sterft deel van hersenen af → dit is niet zo goed te onderscheiden van het hersenweefsel.
Als hersendeel ischemisch is → donkere vlek door vochtophoping.
