Intrioduction
In this essay, I am going to explain the implicatons or The Body Shop and their stakeholders when
operatng the business ethically, and I will also outline the implicaton o these stakeholders group
when the business does not operate in an ethical manner. Moreover, I will be evaluatng the impact
o The Body Shop’s ethical behaviour on stakeholders and the business.

The Stakehiolder iof the Biody Shiop
Owners

The shareholders o The Body Shop are these people who buying are shares in the business. These
shareholders will be interested in how much profts does The Body Shop makes and how well the
business is per orming. This is because when the business is operatng very well as well as the
per ormance o the business, then it is more likely or the business to share value. There ore, the
value o the business will rise. Moreover, The Body Shop is a public Limited company which means
the legal owners o the business are the shareholders o The Body Shop. There ore, it important or
the shareholders to recognise the importance o social and environmental issues, in order to make
important decisions to help The Body Shop to prosper. The Body Shop always ensures that they have
the best practce in environmental managements as well as they are against animal testng on
cosmetcs and toiletries. There ore, the shareholders will be interested in these issues as they will
want to see how well The Body Shop is per orming.

Emplioyees

The employees o The Body Shop are a very valuable labour orce o the business as they are an
essental part o the business which run the business day-to-day operatons. This is because, The
Body Shop cannot work without its employees. The Body Shop always trying to make sure that they
operatng ethically, and make sure that all their employees are satsfed with the working conditons.

There ore, in order or The Body Shop to operate ethically, they make sure that every employee is
enttled to have a set o minimum working conditons, these conditons will cover all the aspects o
the work which include: wages, salaries, working hours, holiday entailments and so on. The Body
Shop Ethical trade standards ensures that the employees are ‘’ ree rom exploitaton’’. They have a
strict and air code o practse which make sure that the working conditons are sa e and hygienic,
the wages are paid and the working hours are not ‘excessive’. In additons, they ensures that all the
employee are being treated with respect.

Moreover, the mangers o The Body Shop are responsible to make sure that the individual members
o the staf act in an ethical manner. For example, the shop manager will makes sure that the
customers are treated and served well by the staf to ensure The Body Shop and their workplaces
are ‘happy, sa e, air and secure’.
