persistent fear which is excessive and unreasonable

emotions out of proportion to the actual danger posed
Behavioural Characteristics;
avoidance
freeze
faint
flight or fight response
these behavioural characteristics interferes significantly with everyday life
Cognitive Characteristics:
irrational thoughts
not helped by rational argument
unable to recognise the unreasonableness of their responses
Depression:
Description - mood disorder when you always feel sad and / or lack interest in usual activities
Emotional Characteristics;
sadness
loss of interest
anger
Behavioural Characteristics:
reduced or increased activity relating to energy levels
sleep
eating
Cognitive Characteristics:
irrational, negative thoughts
