In this assignment I would be explaining the role of advertising agencies in the
development of a successful promotional campaign and seeing in-house versus
outsourcing and to see what is better for the business.

Advertising agencies work with businesses in which to assist their campaign to gain as
much tractions as possible; the role of advertisement agencies is to work with
organizations to develop and enhance their advertising campaign in which the
organization would hire advertising agencies as they specialize in this field as they would
know what they are doing and would have the specific knowledge, skills and experience
to apply for these businesses, an example of one of the most famous advertising agency
there are today are WPP Group, Omnicom Group and Interpublic Group which are worth
billions and have worked with company’s such as Coca cola and Red bull, they have
worked on campaigns such as Red bull’s ‘wings for all taste’ campaign and also their
‘Red bull X Destiny campaign’.

The Advertising agency will offer many services to help the business do its best, but the
business would also need to help the agency as much as possible and possibly show
them an example or the product its self in which for them to have a good understanding
in what they are looking for, the agency will also carry out market research for the
business to find out what the current target market is as new trends are introduced in
which the customers needs and wants may change. The main target for the agency is to
give ideas to the company and make these ideas come to life from media planning e.g.
advertisement design, copywriting, graphic design, typography, production. These
services will help the business completely design their advert or campaign to the highest
standard as it would need to suitable and appropriate for the audience, also they would
need to think about cost options which they would need to keep in mind as the business
may have a budget that they need to follow. The agency would be providing all these
services for the business to help create and promote their campaign or whatever they
need help in.

What the advertising agency will mainly assist the organisation with is the media
planning, what is includes is the advertisement design and graphics design, this would be
vital for the business as this would be what the audience would be looking at in which it
would be the campaign design its self, this would be important that they make sure it is
appropriate and eye catching for the public to see and possible would want to take part
in this campaign, this would be the main reason why organisation hire advertising
agency’s as they would have specialist and graphic designers to design their campaign
for the business in which they would know what they are doing and make sure it looks
good to the public eye.
