DCPO - ANS--one from each division, serve as DCPO for 6 months

preparation&maintenance of DC check-off lists for all spaces they are assigned
-qualification: DCPO PQS, DC PQS 301-306, XO designation letter
X-RAY - ANS-set when the ship is in no danger of attack, all x-ray fittings closed at all
times, provides minimum level of protection
yoke - ANS-set and maintained at sea, in port outside of normal working hours, both
x-ray and yoke closures and fittings are secured, provides moderate level or protection
, zebra - ANS-set at Condition 1, all x-ray yoke and zebra fittings are secured, provides
maximum level of protection
Circle Yoke/Circle X-ray - ANS-fittings used for access when transiting to battle stations,
transferring ammunition, space/equipment checks, opened without permission, must be
closed immediately
Circle Zebra - ANS-set with zebra, used for operating during extended battle conditions
(battle messing, limited use of heads, ventilating battle stations, transiting squadrons to
flight deck), opened with CO permission
Dog Zebra - ANS-set with zebra, darken ship
Circle William - ANS-normally open, secured to prevent CBRN contamination, requires
CO's permission to set
William - ANS-normally open, provides services to vital systems, only secured to control
damage, prevent contamination, repair equipment
modified zebra - ANS-driven by ship policy, between yoke and zebra (provides better
survivability, fast response, enough accessibility for long term use), can be set for
UNREP/VERTREP, air operations, amphibious operations, heavy weather
distributed stowage - ANS-if casualty on one part of the ship, not all DC equipment/
capabilities are lost
