P1 - Describe the current business travel environment.

Types of business travel

 Incentive travel- some companies reward their staff for good work. They send them on
holiday for more motivation so that they will be more dedicated in their work. Many
companies also have staff discount cards which they could use in other shops. They will also
have family discounts for the members of the staff’s family.
Example: Thomas cook and TUI

 Exhibitions and trade fairs, conferences and meetings- busy businessman need to attend
very important meeting or trade fairs, hence they need to book hotels room and also flights
for travelling for such events.
Example: CT travels

 Corporate events-this kind of events are mostly done to have a deals with other business in
order to advertise their company.

 Independent- independent travel business is where they manage the company by
themselves without the help of others. They usually have a small team are mostly a
