CDP's Study Guide (Modules 1,2,3)
1A8X1 - Airborne cryptologic language analyst - ANS-operate, evaluate and manage
airborne SIGINT information systems and operate activities; performs identification,
acquisition, recording, translating, analyzing and reporting of assigned voice
communications
1A8X2 - Airborne ISR operator - ANS-primary aircrew onboard a wide variety of aircraft
to operate, evaluate, and manage airborne ISR information and related ground
processing systems. Performing identification, acquisition, recording, analysis, and
reporting of assigned ISR tasking
1N0X1-All Source Intelligence Analyst - ANS-Prepare, maintain, and present
intelligence displays, reports, and briefings. They instruct aircrews on collecting and
reporting requirements and procedures; matters such as evasion, recovery, and code of
conduct; recognition techniques; and assessing offensive and defensive weapons
system capabilities.
1N1X1-Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) - ANS-Exploit and analyze multisensor
imagery in conjunction with all-source intelligence information. They will determine the
type, function, location, and significance of military facilities and activities, industrial
installations, and surface transportation routes of travel.
1N2X1A- ELINT Analyst - ANS-Monitor and collecting noncommunications electronic
signal transmissions using passive receiving equipment
1N2X1C- COMINT Analyst - ANS-Acquiring signals through optimum antenna
manipulation and receiver tuning. They utilize a wide range of complex analysis
hardware and software to process signals, including receivers, demodulators, printers,
spectrum analyzers, and other associated computer equipment
1N3X1-Cryptologic Language Analyst - ANS-operate and manage communications
equipment; translate spoken or written foreign language material, recognize EEIs,
analyze communications and report items of interest
1N4X1A-Digital Network Intelligence Analyst - ANS-employ techniques to collect,
identify and exploit appropriate communications to ensure accurate targeting; produces
technical products and intelligence reports for consumers; provides studies used to
shape the global network environment
, 1N4X1B- Analysis and Production Analyst - ANS-detailed analysis on target network
communications for addition exploitation; author time sensitive intelligence reports in
accordance with established guidelines to support decision makers
1N7X1- HUMINT - ANS-Collect and report intelligence information obtained from human
sources in response to requirements. Screens documents and open source materials to
identify potential source leads. Analysts assess, debrief, and interrogate sources in
English. Supervise interviews, debriefings, and interrogations conducted in foreign
languages
1N8X1- Targeting Analyst - ANS-Make recommendations on the appropriate form
required to disable an adversarys targeting system. Determine specific aircraft and
ammunition, and anticipate the effect of the weapons to minimize the collateral damage
while still accomplishing the mission
1st Quarter of the FY - ANS-25% is allocated and spent for the fiscal year. Fall out
money starts during this quarter, especially when the money has been allocated during
the previous cycle.
2nd Quarter of the FY - ANS-By January, the Resource Advisor (RA) submits the first
iteration for the Budget Execution Review (BER). All initial requests must be submitted
for unit prioritization; 50% of the budget is allocated.
3rd Quarter of the FY - ANS-75% of the budget is allocated; preparation for end-of-year
spending begins
4th Quarter of the FY - ANS-Congress normally approves next years funding by 15
SEP; all spending must be done by 30 September, unless prior approval has been
obtained. New fiscal year begins on 1 OCT
9S100- Scientific Applications Specialist - ANS-reporting identifier that applies leading
edge physical sciences to perform data collection, analysis, observation, study,
experimentation, acquisition, maintenance, research and development, fielding of
prototype and operational active and passive sensors and systems; process and
analyze scientific data and derive, develop, integrate and report information to
customers
Abductive Reasoning - ANS-The process of generating a novel hypothesis to explain
given evidence that does not readily suggest a familiar explanation.
