Rocks Glass - ANS-A small glass used for serving drinks

drinks, with mixers like sweet and sour, o.j. coke. Electric blue lemonade.

Speed Racks or Wells - ANS-Used to store the most frequently used liquor and mixes.
The racks are attached to the front of the main sink and jockey box. Being attached to
the front of the sink, they are easy to reach and put back. They greatly increase the
bartender's ability to mix drinks quickly. Very Good Reason To Take Bartending School
means Vodka Gin Rum Triple Sec Whiskey or Bourbon and Scotch. Juices in the
speedrack include Creme, Pineapple, Grapefruit, Sweet and Sour, Cranberry Juice,
Tomato juice, orange juice, lime juice, and grenadine.

made of rubber and are also where ingredients are poured into drinks.

lemon twists and olives.

Back - ANS-Back - a 'back' is a small glass of something (like water or cola) which
accompanies a drink.

Eg. "Scotch on the rocks with a water back.

Liquor - ANS-Liquor is a distilled alcoholic beverage and it is,made by distilling anything
thats been fermented. Distillation separates water from alcohol. The liquid becomes
much more concentrated. 80 proof and above. There are 7 different types. Vodka, Gin,
Rum, Tequila, Whiskey/Bourbon, Brandy and Vermouth.

, Liquerre - ANS-are liquors that have some kind of sweetener added to them. Herbs,
fruits, spices and are usually around 15-30% ABV and up to 55% ABV. Also called a
cordiel.

Vodka - ANS-a neutral-flavored, clear spirit. Generally made from potatos and grains,
however Ciroc Vodka is made from grapes. It is usually arou d 40% ABV.

Gin - ANS-is a clear spirit and it mixes well with other ingredients. It is flavored with
difderent botanicals to give it a distinct taste. It is distilled from grain or malt and it must
be flavored with Juniper Berry. Minimum of 37.5% ABV but there are much stronger gins
out there. Bombay Sapphire.

Rum - ANS-a spirit distilled from sugarcane or molasses. It is oten aged in wooden
barrels and is primarily made in the Caribbean. Liquor like rum matures/ages much
quicker in the barrel in warmer climates. There are 4 types of rum. White rums are clear
in color and generally have the least flavor among the different types of rum. Thats what
makes them excellent base spirits in cocktails - think the Mojito. Some white rums are
packed with flavor. Medium-bodied dark rums are fuller in flavor and are generally gold
in color. Sometimes that's due to aging but most of the time it's because caramel or
molasses has been added to dye the liquid. Full-bodied dark rums are generally darker
than medium-bodied rums. They are darker because they have been well-aged in the
barrell. Meyers Jamaican Rum is a dark rum. Spices rums are rums that have been
flavored with various spices like cinnamon, pepper, anise, etc. Captain Morgan Spiced
Rum is the common example.

Tequila - ANS-Tequila is a liquor made from blue agave (alternatively Agave tequilana,
agave azul, or the Agave Weber) plants — which are more closely related to lilies than
cacti! — located in the state of Jalisco and a few of its neighboring regions in Mexico.
Tequila is technically a Mezcal (which is distilled alcohol made from all agave plants, not
just the blue agave), and as of 1978, thanks to an official declaration by the Mexican
government, if it's made anywhere else in the world, it ain't genuine tequila.

Highball Type - ANS-This category of drinks is your basic liquor and mix drink recipe.
The customer will request a type of liquor, many times a call or premium brand, with a
water, soda or soft drink mixer.

Highball - ANS-Highball Glass, filled with ice. 1 ounce Bourbon. Fill with Ginger ale.

Scotch and Soda - ANS-Highball glass, filled with ice, 1 ounce Scotch, Fill with Soda
