¿Qué tipo de persona es don Gregorio?
What type of person is don Gregorio?

(One of the most important themes in “The Butterfly’s Tongue” is the
importance of education, and this is the reason that don Gregorio is such a
significant character.)

(He is a teacher, who always helps his students, and this is obvious
when he gives Moncho the book “Treasure Island”, since he wants the child to
read and learn about the world outside of Galicia. Also, from his point of view,
the gift is so important because he says that “in books we can shelter our
dreams”. It may be said that the gift demonstrates how the teacher wants to
protect Moncho from the badness in the world, showing that he is a good and
kind teacher.)

niños a aprender.

(Also, we should remember that don Gregorio understands the students
and, as a result, it is natural that he is a good teacher. He says to the priest
that “It’s natural that everything interests him”, showing that he encourages the
children to learn.)
