improving students' speaking skills, so the materials emphasize the
speaking cycle. The activities in the learning materials cover
listening and speaking skills accompanied by several activities for
sub-skills, such as pronunciation vocabulary, and grammar. The
content and learning experiences in each chapter in this book are
generally arranged by following stages that are in accordance with
the basic principles of learning a foreign language, namely the
presentation or modeling stage (presentation), the practice stage
(practice), and the use stage (production). This book also
encourages the use of group learning in various forms, with the aim
that students interact a lot, so as to build the ability to
communicate and work in teams.
