Reflective comparison of your experience in the sector for the past two
sessions
Through the work experience I had to face various stages of the skills related to the
job I held because thanks to the support during the work experience and discussing
the different ways of working following observation can help develop work skills and
competencies to meet different objectives given to This helped me meet all these
challenges in several ways since during my first period of work experience, I
encountered many different challenges while being part of a new environment which
was a daycare centre.
Establishing bonds with all the different babies and children was very hard and
important, as well as with all those teachers, many of whom were English-speaking
and were tough and serious about everything even though I was a student.
However, as time began to pass I felt more comfortable and willing to work with
people of different ages, different languages and cultures. Because of this, daycare
gave me a great opportunity to interact with a wider range of people, children,
babies, parents and teachers, which led me to a deeper understanding and a much
deeper understanding of this great work, of all the individual needs and personalities.
As a result of everything I was able to learn here I began to have stronger
connections with both the children and the staff, who became more familiar with me
over time and which gave me a great opening of skills such as trust, confidentiality,
etc. since many of the daycare trusted me and told me things and even the children.
As a result of these great opportunities that work experience gave me, I was able to
develop better communication which became more natural and a little more
advanced, relieving the pressure I initially felt when knowing that my English was not
good enough to be able to be there. which with the passage of time gave me more
confidence in myself and my communication. Overall, my experience went from
challenging and unfamiliar to fun and exciting as I got used to the work environment
and its people. As I continued to gain more work experience after the initial month, I
began to feel more and more secure and confident in my role in the work experience
I was doing at the nursery.
After the first month I had begun to feel more comfortable with the way this daycare
worked, the daily schedules and the standards, which resulted in a reduction of the
anxiety and doubts that I had experienced at the beginning and which helped me to
develop my punctuality more, to plan well and to have this new confidence that
allowed me to interact more effectively with all the children of various age ranges,
thus helping me to be able to adapt to my methods to satisfy their different needs

and interests given that being children so small they are a little more difficult to
handle but it helped me develop my imagination and patience more since they cried
when they didn't know what they wanted.
Given my confidence and security I was able to create more fixed links and
involved in the daycare where I noticed that my interactions with the children and the
staff became softer and more spontaneous where we all shared things from our
private lives, including details such as chocolates, sweets, etc. Expanding the
connections I had previously formed, I found a deeper bond of friendship and
respect, empowering myself and teamwork for the good of everyone and the daycare
above all. Furthermore, they made me go from being a stranger or a simple student
to being appreciated as a valuable member of the daycare in which every time my
two weeks ended they said goodbye to me with chocolates or some detail and a
letter of gratitude from all the from the nursery.
This improved the overall work experience in a positive and pleasant way since I was
able to develop many skills of which the most essential for me was communication.
Overall, the progression from facing difficulties in the initial first week to experiencing
more comfort and joy of going can demonstrate how continued learning and
adaptation in an ever-changing environment can create significant changes like
daycare did for me.
My work experience improved a lot when I was able to work together with different
age groups and daycare teachers since I was able to collaborate with all people of
different ages, different groups from different backgrounds gave me a different point
of view and helped me gain a deeper insight into different personalities and teaching
methods because is important to respect all the diverse and different backgrounds.
Interacting with a variety of people such as children or even parents allowed me to
understand their unique tastes, ways of learning and requirements, which helped
build meaningful relationships and connections with all of them. Additionally,
interacting with a variety of children encouraged and helped me adjust the way I
communicate and interact, which includes interpersonal skills and the ability to
empathise since it is not easy to deal with children without a good way to get their
attention. and earn their trust. Working with different age groups and teachers
provided me with valuable knowledge and experiences, improving my overall work
experience and helping me grow both personally and professionally in the
educational and caring field for what I would like to be given in my future to develop.
the same.
Looking back on my work experience, I realised that the skills and information gained
early on had a huge impact on how I approached the next phase. During the initial
stage, my main objective was to start discussions and establish a connection with all
the people who belonged to that place, so this fundamental skill allowed me to
establish initial connections and feel more comfortable and safe within this
environment. As I moved into the second phase, I found myself taking advantage of
this ability to engage in conversations more easily and create more confidence in
