Assignment 2: Stages of Recruitments

Employer Perspective

Introduction

In this task I will be identifying the stages of recruitment and selection and include
examples

The human Resource department usually deals with the selection and recruitment
process. The place for work will generally conduct the interview. It is very important
that the right person is selected so that they benefit the company. A system needs to
be put in place to ensure this runs smoothly. This process will differ depending on
company size. Small company will tend to the whole recruitment process.

Identifying Company Needs
A company staffing plan is referred when a vacancy opens up within the company.
This is when the company moves around existing staff to fill the vacancy. If this
happens the there is no need for a vacancy. This would happen because it would
save money because they won’t have to spend money on a recruitment process and
if you choose somebody already in the company then they will have the experience
that will be better for the Job. This is good as they can spend money elsewhere in
other departments and have a better person to fill the vacancy. Companies have a
staffing budget to stick to. The staffing plan includes the salary and the hours of each
employee. Some job roles need to have a minimum number of staff such as holiday
reps or cabin crew because this can directly impact the customer’s enjoyment and
the health and safety. There needs to be enough cabin crew to evacuate the plane.
