,Introduction
In this report, I will be showcasing how businesses utilise social media and the benefits they can
gain from using social media.

How do businesses use social media to create a brand or image?

Businesses use social media to create a brand or image by promoting their business on
different social media platforms first. For instance, creating an Instagram account. They
fill out their profile and start to post their products with specific hashtags and they also
put their main logo on their display picture. The brand ‘Nike’ also puts up special offers
on their websites and also social media platforms. Due to this, it develops an audience
and encourages more customers to purchase from them... Having an appealing image
for your brand allows brand awareness to take place and more people visiting your
page. For example, Nike has different social media platforms they utilise to create a
brand or image. They use Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram to show their
advertising to the world.

boots.

At the end of the caption it states that you can shop for this product at “Nike.com”
which is a form of promoting their product on their website.

How do businesses use social media to do communicate with their
customers?
Most businesses use social media such as Instagram and Facebook to communicate
with their clients. For example, if a product is listed on the page and a customer has an
enquiry about it, they have the ability to send a DM to the owner asking a question about
the product. This allows great customer service for businesses and it is easier to reach
out to the owner without having to make a phone call or emailing.

In addition, businesses may have an “FAQ” section on their social media page. For
instance, on Instagram many businesses post Instagram Highlights which have a story
