certificate from a judge in the court of the common please, in his home

county, court of appeals or supreme court, proving that


✓ he/she is in good moral character, a citizen in the county where

he/she resides and if he or she is an attorney, they are qualified to

practice in this state, and possess sufficient qualifications and ability to

discharge the duties of the office of notary public




No judge shall issue certificate until


✓ they have a personal knowledge of applicant or the applicant passes

exam he prescribes




Each notary will hold office for


✓ five years unless revoked. If the applicant is an attorney allowed to

practice of law by the Supreme Court - he/she will hold office as long

as they are a resident in that state
