Stone Stylists Ltd is a chain of five hair salons and barbershops in Sheffield. Currently employing 70
stylists, it was previously ran by Lisa Stone for over 30 years, until her son, James stone became
Operating Manager. James does not have any experience in the industry however, instead he
leverages experience from the time when he was a store manager for a large UK food retailer.
However, over the last few years employee and financial performance have worsened and the
management of Stone Stylists Ltd are faced with some key challenges.
This presentation aims to cover 5 key sections: the business goals, the current management
challenges faced by management with their impact, a chart on visualising the worsening financial
performance, a set of proposals to solve the challenges, aiming to positively impact the business
goals and some recommendations to ensure that the proposals are implemented successfully. We
will also focus on how the challenges faced by the management of Stone Stylists Ltd is negatively
impacting the net profit margin, and how the proposals suggested will improve this figure.
