P3: Explain the benefits to customers of a business using internet marketing
M1: Analyse the benefits of internet marketing to customers

Benefits to customers of using internet marketing
The two businesses I will be using for this task are Nike with their website
(https://www.nike.com/gb/) and Oxfam with their website (https://www.oxfam.org.uk/)
Price transparency
Nike is very transparent with their prices on all their products on their website and
keep the same asking prices for everyone (excluding exclusive discounts) which will
usually match their demand prices accurately. Prices are clearly shown on all their
products with VAT included and show all discounts prices available on their products
on their products making it easy for customers to know exactly how much products
are as they are viewing them.
Oxfam similarly have very clear prices on
their products and donation showing exactly
what the customer will get and their prices
right next to them offering the same prices
to everyone if they wish to buy a product
and also use every donation in the same
way not separating specific donations to
specific areas. They even have a unique
chart for their donators exactly where their
money is going for each pound spent
(evidence presented on the right side of
text).

Price transparency in these 2 businesses are very clear is both online and offline
locations however prices are much clearer online as prices will almost always be
accurately labelled online as human error is much easier to spot online and in-store
prices may not always be labelled properly or tags which show prices may not be
present on the product making it difficult for customers to know the prices without
asking a member of staff directly. Also discounts aren’t as clear in-store as they are
online as their online locations may advertise their discounts on specific products
clearly but in-store this is not always the case as discount marketing isn’t as
apparent in the store for these 2 businesses specifically compared to their online
locations.

Comprehensive and up-to-date product information
Nike have clear product information on all of their products from the sizes available
to things such as the exact material used in the product. They do this for every single
product as they are released on the website which means the information is always
up-to-date and correct

Oxfam also are quite clear with their product descriptions however they are not as
clear as Nike this may be due to the fact many of they products that are for sale are
second hand products which they did not manufacture themselves which would of
course make it difficult for them to give a in depth description of.
