Three uses the military have for satellite communications are for navigation purposes,
intelligence gathering and military communications. 


3. Name 3 civilian uses for Satellite communications?

Three civilian uses for satellite communication are the radio, television and the internet. 


4. Name 4 public service uses for metal detectors?
Four public services that use metal detectors are airport security, bomb disposal, the police and
airport security.


5. Give 3 examples of when Simulators are used in the public services?
Three examples of when simulators are used in the public services are in the RAF to train pilots, they
are used to train helmsman which pilot submarines and the police use simulators when doing their
evasive driving course.


6. Give me 5 examples of the use of Passive Radio Frequency Sensors in the public services?
Five examples of the use of Passive Radio Frequency Sensors in the public services are that it
searches for radio frequencies nearby, tags on expensive items will set of the barriers by the exit
if they’re not deactivated and the security guard will have to stop the individual, the RAF may
use it for baggage tracking logistics, the military may use it as access control to enter controlled
areas without having to stop the vehicle and to do this they will use RFID tags, and the final
example is the military may use passive radio frequency through the use of smart dust. 
