Malaysia, Ireland, Poland, and China and in many more locations. Tesco is a Labour intensive

they pay to the employees that work for them, instead of using most of their money on
technology.
Why is it important to know the skills of your workforce?
It is important for Tesco to know the skills of their workforce so they are able to identify any
gaps, such as if any of the staff need training because of underperformance, or if anyone
needs to be moved up from developing a number of skills and experience from their current
role. From keeping track of the skills of the workforce, Tesco ensures that everyone is in the
right job role and that they are working to their full potential, which benefits the company
to achieve maximum results each time. Without the right skills, the staff at Tesco will not be
able to perform correctly, which is why recruitment is a long process as Tesco have to find
the right employees with the right skills. Tesco need their workforce to have skills such as
good communication, teamwork and organisational skills. There are also specific skills that
some job roles within Tesco require such as an accountant is required to have an
accountancy degree and a lawyer needs a law degree to be able to carry out their work.
People as an organisational resource
People are the most important resources for Tesco because they are a labour intensive
business, they rely heavily on the people that work for them and make sure that they are
getting paid for the work they carry out. The people involved in the business such as the
employees working at Tesco should be treated properly as they have feelings and can also
get emotional; Tesco has to make sure that all their employees are happy and satisfied with
their job role. This is because if the employees are happy, they are more likely to work
harder and to their full potential, employees that work to their full potential, they will be
able to complete tasks faster, For example, Tesco has to make sure to give their employees
day off for sickness so they are able to recover and improve their performance. People who
need to improve their skills should be provided with the right training that they require, so
they can achieve maximum performance.
