Name of business- COFFEE FOR TWO
Executive summary (What is the business, USP’s, Main objectives, projected annual
sales)
What is the business?
My business is a coffee shop that will be located in Twickenham in London. I chose this location
because it is a busy area, and therefore having a coffee shop there could attract customers to
come in and relax before they go back to work or go shopping. The name of the coffee shop
will be "coffee for two?". The rhetorical question attracts the customer as it is asking them a
question if they would want a coffee or not. Asking a question like this makes the customer
think about it more, meaning they will be more likely to buy a cup of coffee; a lot of businesses
use rhetorical questions in advertisements.
This coffee shop will offer customers different types of coffee, for example, latte, cappuccino,
espresso etc. As well as coffee, we will also tea and desserts like cupcakes or brownies and ice
cream. The difference between my coffee shop and others is the aesthetic of it; my shop will
have fresh smelling flowers on the tables, and then fake flowers around the walls of the coffee
shop to look good and be appealing to the eye. Fake flowers will have to be used because it
would be very expensive to look after them all the time as well as change all the flowers every
time they die, but for the small flowers on the tables it would be fine. As well as this, a lot of
people would take pictures in the coffee shop as it would set as a nice background for them for
a social media post. This will therefore then attract more customers to come to the coffee shop
which can lead to more sales.
Objectives
One objective we will follow will be to practice high ethical standards. I would like to have
ethical standards in my company as it would reflect on the business and show the customers
who we are and what we stand for. An example of this may be being good to the environment,
employees, etc; it would also give the business a good reputation and can attract customers.
One way by doing this is by using recycled coffee cups for those customers who are on the go;
and for the people who may want to eat inside, we will use normal plates and cups and be able
to reduce them and reduce waste. We will also be nice to our employees, give them a fair
hourly rate as well as holidays and benefits.
Another one is to constantly grow and expand the business. Once the shop in Twickenham
does well, we can open up new shops in new locations and get more recognition from the
public. This can therefore lead to more sales for the business as well as more customers.
