Apple
E.M5 Analyse how successful
the use of innovation
and enterprise has
been for a given
business.
Apple is known as the 1 and most innovative company in the world. And that is thanks to their
innovation strategy. Apple’s innovation strategy involves new products and innovative business
models.
One of the reasons for apple success is their innovation system, which is very good because they
work together with their employees so that they can stimulate new ideas, launch success, new
profitable innovation. And by doing that they work together and build an effective inno0vation
system together.
Apple is also focusing on making business models and not just innovative product. This will help the
products to be more successful. One example was when they launch app store and iTunes which are
the main reason for success of the iPhone and iPod. Thanks to these features the usage of these
products have been huge.
Apple is in the oligopoly market which is a state of limited competition. Means that small number of
big companies is compete for market share. Also Apple is Monopolistic competition because of there
being more competitors and also with the company continuing its position in the market because it’s
too costly and hard for other competitors to enter. Thanks to the oligopoly structure Apple has, it
makes their product price high for their customers.
Apple has had been having a lot off successful and unsuccessful innovation and enterprises.
Apple’s mobile market is really a competitive market and the only way to be the most innovative
company and successful, they must innovate and make the business to go up and the cost of the
business every year.
For example when Apple released their first all touch screen iPhone in 2007 which made them the
most innovative and creative product in the market and was ahead of all of their competitors and
got a lot of customers and made other companies to think of the same ide and create same phone
with touch screen. After they created the first touch screen they become really successful and
managed apple to control some of the monopoly market in USA. Which allowed Apple to control
almost half of the market in the USA and can order the price in the market.
But it is not always that Apple success with their innovations and products. By being the most
innovative company in the world, People has more expectations and believes in the Company to
release the product and to be satisfied with it. Or maybe not reaching the expected sales either.
For example when Apple introduced their Air Power which didn’t met the expectations or the
market. Which made Apple to a failure and wasted a lot of R&D.
The product was meant to charge an Apple Watch, iPhone and air pods. They wanted to release it
with the iPhone X but they didn’t because of the failure.
Apple also lost a lot of customer loyalty because of the refund they had to make.
