Introduction to Developmental Psychology (PS1105)

These notes are an introduction to the field of developmental psychology. It explores areas such as what is development, what influences development, and ways to study development such as the different research methods and the different designs used to study it.

These notes are on the pre and post natal development. It explains the pre-natal physical development, namely the germinal stage, embryonic stage, and foetal stage. There are also notes on foetal perceptual and cognitive development which explains the development of vestibular system, the vision, and the audition. There are notes on post-natal development, which explain the developments from birth and the attributes and the capacities that are learned thereforth.
